It’s no secret that I was in Bali earlier this year, taking a little time out from my hectic schedule… I think it’s time I shared with you the details of my restful break on this blissful, yet popular, island in Indonesia.

Lucky me! I was graciously invited to spend an all-inclusive break which included a few much-needed days away from my hectic work schedule. Although, truth be told, I was still working on a few things here and there. In my line of work, it is very difficult to completely disengage from everything thus, my laptop, mobile phone, and of course Wifi, always keep me connected!

Oops! My apologies, for I have digressed as usual…Let’s get back to my enchanting experience in Bali...

The plane landed and a few moments later I was greeted by some very gracious staff whom ushered me into an air-conditioned resort vehicle. I couldn’t help to notice the beautifully placed trademark: The Mulia Resorts & Villas (themulia.com).  Once inside the vehicle, I was offered a cooling towel along with an ice cold bottle of water, and within minutes I was pulling into the driveway of the Mulia resort, located in the southeast of Nusa Dua.

Right on a white sandy beach with plenty of pools, bars, restaurants, and a spa, I stayed in the Mulia Resort of this very extensive manifold. When choosing my hideaway, I do prefer a smaller more boutique experience but, the resort was very spacious and well maintained, so despite how busy it was, it did not feel overcrowded. In addition, it was to my satisfaction to  know that The Mulia Resorts & Villas have received a number of Reader’s Choice Awards from Conde Naste Traveler.

During my stay, I took long walks along the beach, and ventured out to watch the ocean spurt and spray water high into the air, through blowholes between the rocks. This captivating experience was done at a viewpoint on the peninsula located at the far end of the beach, away from the resort. The area is known as Peninsula Island, there was also a Garden of Hope, complete with a huge monument that suited to extend my leisurely walks.

For more rigorous exercise, since I like to stay in shape even on vacation, I paid a daily visit to their very extensive and impressive resort fitness center.

(I featured some of my workouts on Instagram, in case you missed them!)

Given all of my traveling and need for some downtime, I was pleased to discover that I didn’t need to venture far afield to find everything I required for the days I was there. Well fed, exercised, and deeply rested were the goals achieved during my stay.

I relaxed, recharged, and re-energized thanks to the Mulia Resort, located in beautiful Bali.
